Robert “Bob” W. Gorczyca, Sr. 62 of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in his home. Born July 31, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Melvin J. and Maria T. (Klement) Gorczyca, Sr. He was a 1970 graduate of Whitmer High School, and then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lourdes University with a Bachelors of Arts and then his Masters of Business Administration from University of Findlay. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation (Jeep) for 25 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the NRA, and U.A.W., Local 12. Bob enjoyed being a Amateur Radio Operator, (WD8KVK), Detroit Tigers, Toledo Mud Hens, Playing the Trumpet, but most of all, spending time with his 7 grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving children, Trisha (Tim) Hoberg, Rob (Jennifer) Gorczyca, Jr., and Melanie (Brian Rudolph) Gorczyca. Grandchildren, Taylor, Alicia, Collin, Mya, Madalyn, Christian and Malakai. Significant other, Geri Zawodny and her daughter, Alisa. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Melvin Gorczyca, Jr.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, May 10, 2015, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
